Palazzo Vecchio, the Gallery of Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria, the famous designer shops, and all the main monuments and churches are within a short distance on foot.
The apartment is the historic center of Florence, but it’s also conveniently located to be reached by car. In front of the loft you find the Murate Complex, once a prison, now wisely restored into a place for cultural events, with a cafe, a book store, a tour agency, and a restaurant pizzeria. Walking left the loft, and running on Via Ghibellina, you find yourself in front of Badia Fiorentina and the wonderful Bargello Museum.
The loft faces Via Ghibellina, one of the most ancient streets in town, with an interesting history. Both Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo had their homes in the street!
We are in the lively Santa Croce district, near the amazing Santa Croce Church, in an area full of typical restaurants, bars, pubs, cool shops, and any type of market. Few steps from the loft is the famous Sant’Ambrogio Market, where to find any kind of fresh food. The area is characterized by plenty of beautiful shops.
